Back home

While we were on vacation, Laurie, Jeff, and their girls lived in our house while they were waiting for their new house to be ready. They left when we came home but their pets stayed. Here is Jackie boy.
I found this shirt that Erin Close (now Ward) made for me in high school. It's for St. Patrick's day.
I can't figure out how to turn these pictures. I guess we went to visit Mamaw.

Poor Roscoe. He was so missing his family. I would pet him and love on him and take him on walks, but every evening I would see him looking like this.

Vacation, part 5

As we were leaving for the airport, we saw geese. I heard Maggie yell something (I thought she was saying Ruby's version of grapes: gapes) and then we saw them. Aren't they beautiful?

We stopped at Starbucks. Would you look at these sweet girlies???

I can't remember if our flight was delayed or if we were just there forever. I let Maggie go buy us a souvenir. I wanted a Christmas ornament but we couldn't find one. Instead, we got a coffee cup.

Vacation, part 4

We kept driving by a college that had huge swathes of flowers. Maggie asked to stop and we finally did and I'm so glad. It was gorgeous and the girls just ran back and forth.

Vacation, part 2

There was a park right by our Air BNB. BUT! The whole thing was sand. I hate sand so bad. It is gross and icky and I refused to touch it. I managed to mostly keep Ruby out (which I could never do now) but Maggie was all in (literally). Why? Why? This is basically like a giant litter box for children to play in.
At the Rocky Mountain National Park. We just bought food and snacked whenever we felt like it. It was so unbelievably beautiful.

Hiking with Ruby in the backpack.

Oh I was using the leash there. I don't even remember that. I guess it was not a fail.
Well, I'm not sure that's the purpose.

I just remembered something. Ruby wore her shoes on the plane and about half-way through the plane ride, they just didn't fit anymore. And after we landed, I could NOT get them on. We had to go to a Target and buy her new shoes in a bigger size. Crazy!

Chipmunks! Or as Ruby called them, kitties!

Breakfast!
