I haven't posted in a while because life continues to be bananas. Maggie started school. It's all virtual, of course. She does some class meetings and everything else is kind of on her own to get done.
Ruby is lonely, mostly. Out of the three of us, she is, by far, the most social. She loves other kids and misses them. We try to go to Laurie and Jeff's as often as possible so she can play with Jill. I don't think Jill is as social as Ruby so it doesn't seem to bother her as much. Although, they usually play well together.
My grad school and internship started. By pure luck and the grace of God, it's all project based. I was sure I would have to take off the semester. Thank goodness I should be able to do it. I work ALL THE TIME. Between my actual job, my internship, and school, I'm always working. The house is almost always a mess. When I have a few minutes, I try to spend it paying attention to my kids.
I've made Maggie a new chore. She has to spend one hour (on non-school days) or 30 minutes (on school days) playing with Ruby, being kind to her and doing whatever Ruby wants. She's gotten to be so mean to Ruby and I'm hoping this will help. If she's mean to her throughout the day, I had 15 minutes to her time with Ruby. Ruby LOVES it. Poor little bug. Maggie dreads it but then usually has fun.
