Catching up, September, part 2

Baby Jordan was born on Maggie's birthday! She was eh about that but she sure liked him.

We celebrated Maggie's birthday with a bigger party on Friday night at Dave and Buster's and then just me, her, Aunt Laurie, and Ella at Great Wolf Lodge on Saturday and Sunday.

Here's Ella and Isaac "playing" a game. I kinda wish I had just pretended to pay for them to play.

 Nana, Ella, and Belle.
I didn't really pay for that one and I don't think he had any idea.

When we first got to Great Wolf Lodge. Not pictured: copious amounts of playing in the water park.
Maggie wrote this on our table for me. So sweet.
Love this series. Ella was vibrating with over exhaustion.

This was them watching the story time. It was also taken about 30 seconds before Ella almost took a swan dive over the railing. Yikes!

The next day we did the scavenger hunt thing. It was really cool. We bought this wand and we followed the clues to find stuff hidden all over the hotel. Once we found it we would point the wand at it and it would tell us we were right and record our journey. Very cool.

It was pretty fun. I think the girls had fun.
And here's our wrecked car. It's in the shop now and I have the greatest rental ever. It's a huge awesome minivan and I love it. I will cry when I have to return it. :(

Catching up, September, part 1

We started our homeschool co-op this month. Ella goes to it, as well. Here's Maggie in her first day of school outfit.
This is after school. Love those glasses, that stance, that face, that girlie. :)
Here is Maggie in her second class with the face she made. They were learning about teeth. I think she chose saber tooth tiger.

On our way to Mineral Wells for our camping trip. Pro tip: never leave town for an entire weekend right after moving.
Holy crap, it was cold! She was the smart one that brought long pants. I had very cold ankles and everything else.
She insisted on bringing her rollerbag to meet our camp Rangers.
This is Saturday afternoon. I spent Saturday morning freezing my rear off and I was so sad. Maggie made friends with a big group of friends and was running around all morning. Here she's getting a lesson in fishing. It was a little scary, I think, for Ranger Lisa.

Ranger Cassie stepping in to keep anyone from having a fish hook in their mouth (there weren't really fish hooks during the practice). :)

But look she caught one of the little plastic fishies.
 Time for the real deal.

And done! Well that was fun for about 10 minutes. It had gotten quite beautiful so we went on a hike with another kid and his Dad. Maggie wiped out a couple of times but overall it was great.
Eating a snack and waiting to kayak.
 Helpers!

 Safety first!

I couldn't take my phone out on the kayak but it was awesome. We had so much fun and it was gorgeous. After I went on another hike with the mom of the kid we went with before, while the kids went back and played together and his Dad watched them. Then we had dinner and then met up with them again for s'mores.
