Update 2-

Ruby wrote more and more as the year when on. She asked how to spell love, but I think misheard me.

There was some thunder, and my fat girls don't like that.

Band went to a baseball game.

I'm going to try to remember what all these pictures are of and also any stories I can come up with. Wish me luck!

This must be when Maggie first chopped all her hair off.

First day of school! Why does Maggie have a suitcase? She didn't like her backpack anymore and decided her best move was to use a suitcase. Guess what's in it? Stuffed animals and a hoodie. The important stuff.

Ruby's teacher, Ms. White, had an app where she could communicate with parents and she sent a ton of pictures all year and I love it!

So, Maggie had to choose between band, orchestra, choir, drama, or something like that. I don't remember what she chose but it wasn't band. I asked Jeff to assist in convincing her to join band. Those kids were never in trouble in school and always at the top of the class. They had a whole friend group just right there. Anyway, it worked.

This was our last day in Portland. We were walking to a park to let the kids play until we needed to go to the airport. And this dog was just laying on the sidewalk. She lived in the house and her person just lets her wander, I guess. She was so sweet and soft and pretty.

The next morning I started my new job and that night we got our foster girls. Jereise and Kiyah.

We went to meet the teacher night. I only got two pictures because it was crazy.

 

Portland: Day "WE'RE NEVER GETTING HOME"

 Maggie loves eggs benedict. I ordered it at a restaurant and she begged to try it and then ate like half my plate. She practically licked the plate clean. 

We were supposed to go home on Tuesday. I got a freaking text minutes before we were going to leave saying our flight was canceled and they put us on a new flight. . . IN TWO DAYS!!!! Ridiculous. I tried different airlines. I tried getting to OKC or Austin. There was nothing. I was supposed to start my new job on Wednesday. Now I can't start until Friday. I'm also getting two foster girls on Friday. So, Friday's gonna be a lot. What a pain.
