A Day during Spring Break

This was one day during Spring Break. We were going to go to the library, go on the train in Trinity Park and then go to Maggie's eye doctor appointment. We went to the library and read books and looked around and I remember looking at a clock and seeing it was noon and panicking (we were planning on going on the 1 pm train and we still had to grab lunch). However, after we got lunch and got to the train station it was 10 until noon so. . . yeah, we were quite early.

Luckily, we were right next to the Trinity River so we went and picked flowers and talked and walked up and down the stairs and waited for the train.

The lights were on in the train depot and popcorn was popped and there was a big Open sign but no person. No train at 12 pm.

No train at 12.30 pm.

No train at 1 pm. :(  It never showed up. No one ever came so eventually (mainly because I had to pee) we went to the Fort Worth Science and History Museum.

I know this is a horrible picture but this thing was so weird. It was like a giant acorn top. Maggie, of course, used it as a container to hold her flowers.

The museum finally put in a parking lot that is free to members. It was costing so much to park it wasn't worth it to have a membership. I'm so glad we can start going again. Maggie loves it. We stayed there until it was time to drive to Irving for her eye appointment.

The eye exam place was insane. There were about a million people and not enough room. They finally called us and took us into this creepy room with an antique vibe and crazy busy wallpaper and those china dolls. Ick! Then they sent us back out. Finally we saw her (new) eye doctor. He did not understand me when I explained why Maggie wore glasses. Then he said he didn't want to change her Rx but that she might outgrow her glasses (her original doc said she for sure would). It was a little odd but I guess we'll keep everything as is and keep seeing this new guy.
