Houston Vacation, part 2

Kemah Boardwalk, continued. I took the girls on this Tilt o' Wheel thing. It was intense. Maggie went back and forth between laughing and cheering and saying, make it stop. Belle was quiet mostly but would look at me with fear and I would try to be extra excited. They did quite well.

Houston Vacation, part 1

Michelle had to go on a business trip to Houston and didn't want to be apart from her kiddos so she asked us to come along. Road trip! We had a great time. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in Kemah, just south of Houston.

Here's Maggie playing with phone. She was Mayor Maggie.

"I'm busy, Mom!"
We had a huge breakfast and sat at a cool table.

Maggie sat in the third row of seats. She made a huge mess but she was so freaking good.
We went to the Kemah boardwalk and got ride passes. We went on the Ferris Wheel.

We went on the carousel.

As you can see, I took 5 billion pictures. So this will be in 2 parts. :)

Two little stories

Maggie's been trying to say little sayings that she hears me (or other adults) say and they often come out a bit jumbled. One she's been saying is: least but not last.

While we were having dinner, I let the kitties go outside. When it was time for bath, I asked Maggie to help me find the cats so we could close the back door. She said that Greenlea was outside. I said, go ahead and herd her on in. Then I popped my head out to see that Maggie was hitting her. I said, stop why are you hitting Greenlea? She said, that's the only way I know how to hurt her.

Poor Greenlea. :( Maggie stopped and I explained the difference between hurt and herd. She then herded Greenlea in and pet her and loved on her for a while.

I always do that sometimes!

Last week while we were driving home, Maggie had her window down. I went to put it up (I never tell her when because she thinks it's funny to hit the down button while I press the up button) and she got a finger stuck. I put it back down and she yelled at me, I always do that sometimes!

She also decided that she should have a code for when she needs to poop or throw up. For future reference, it's "making waffles."

Saturday, we went out to Jan's house for the day. Oh it was so much fun. We saw all the animals. We saw their new camper. We went swimming and laid/sat around on their new deck. We had fresh strudel. It was fabulous. At one point, while we were in the pool, Maggie was trying to catch a butterfly and when she couldn't, she turned to me and said, I guess it wasn't my lucky day.

After leaving Jan's, I took her to her Dad's house. She was sad to see me go and told me, I love you mommy. Drive well. :)

That night I kept Ella. We had pizza for dinner and laughed and joked and she told me about cheating when playing with Maggie and fibbing to her mommy. She also told me it was the best day of her life. Score!

We were talking about Frozen and I told her that there are real castles made of ice in Iceland. She said, well I don't think my mommy would want to take me so how about you take me? How about Friday?

These pictures are from the park last week. She's sad because the roly-poly she brought to the park the day before wasn't where she left it. Also, how do you like that outfit?

Easter

I never posted about Easter so here goes. We went to Memaw's house again. Laurie and I did candy and hair clips and I made a picture of some books for Maggie. I made it like a puzzle where she had to put it together and then get the books. I thought that would be so cool but let me tell you, Maggie was not impressed. She wanted candy. :)
