Still January

That's Honey Bear waiting for my apple core. It's the little things.

Poor Honey had a cut on her eye!
I had Natasha euthanized. It was awful but it was time. I hate this part but if you're going to foster senior dogs, this is just going to be a part of it.
This is the mess she left on my bathroom walls.

Ruby's teacher sent me a message last week that Ruby had been horrible. She had been screaming just to scream, running around, etc. Just out of control. I freaked out, trying to figure what on Earth happened. I started mindfulness with her (it's basically the only thing that research has shown speeds up the development of the prefrontal cortex). I made a doctor's appointment to look into upping her dosage of medicine. I started looking for an ADHD skills program or therapist. Then, on Sunday, I texted her teacher to ask about the spelling list. She wrote me back and said that Ruby had a great Friday and had told her that the reason she'd been so bad the other days was because she wasn't taking her meds but instead hiding them in her room. I searched her room and didn't find anything so then I just asked her and she said yes but she was putting them under the fridge. Why??? Because she didn't like the yogurt she was taking her pills with. Are you kidding me???????? I mean, problem solved but my goodness. What a weirdo!
Ruby loves these masks. They're just sheets that are soaked in whatever. She looks very, "Hello Clarice."
Iconic!!!

January

Maggie's sophomore schedule, probably. It could still change.

Natasha is not doing well. She falls a lot, her back legs are extremely wobbly, it takes her multiple tries to get up, she has daily accidents and she seems surprised every time, so I'm guessing she can't feel what's happening. With all that, I've decided it's her time. I hate making this decision; I always worry it's too soon. But she's had a good end of her life.
I've been trying to sign Ruby up for classes to help her with needing activity. She does swimming twice a week, we did a Friday night nerf war, and this is a painting class. It's not quite what I thought. She is the youngest by a lot. She finished her gnome pretty quickly and one of the other women told her she did a great job and Ruby responded, what? All I did was believe in myself. This kid.

My friend Tina signed her son up for the nerf night too and we went and got dinner. We made the mistake of ordering large margaritas, thinking they'd be those bowl glasses. These were huge. I did not finish it!
Ruby and I have started doing dates. Her first date was to get her ears pierced. She has a boo-boo on her eye. Somehow, she walked face first into my standing desk, which somehow cut her eyelid. I honestly don't know. She, of course, was completely stoic getting her ears pierced and she loves them.

I went in her room to start cleaning and saw this:
I love that she taped paper over it, like, "nothing to see here." That's sharpie. I'm not 100% sure how she got it but. . .

January

 The Lost Boys!!!

Ruby is taking swim lessons again. Although these appear to be going much better. She actually seems to be improving. Fingers crossed!

I love this fat, stink dog. Look at her smooshed nose!
Gah! The wrinkles!
The Coreys!

Christmas Day

 Christmas in Disney World!

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day at Laurie's house

What a weirdo!

I heard her humming the here comes the bride music and then came out like this. She kept making "clothes" with toilet paper, all Christmas break.

Smiley's back!

Cardi kept attacking Millie. However, because Millie had mange as a baby, her skin is super fragile, so every time she attacked Millie, she ended up with horrible wounds.
That's where she bit me on accident while I tried to pull her off Millie.
I had to send her to dog school. I don't know if she'll be able to come back. Poor Millie was so scared.
